Nessa's World: March 2017

Hey guys! I am back with another VitaTops post because I am obsessed. Every time we make a trip to the grocery store we pick up a few boxes. We can't get enough of VitaTops. Not only me but my little family is loving them. It has been our go-to snack for the past few weeks. If you look in my purse you will find a few VitaTops MuffinTops. It all started as a snack for me to indulge on, and not feel guilty about all the calories and nasty ingredients. What I love about VitaTops is that each MuffinTop is low in calories and made with clean and simple ingredients. From high in fiber, to super food options, to gluten free. Each VitaTops MuffinTops has its own delicious health benefits.

With every season I feel so inspired to try new recipes in the kitchen. With Spring here I love putting color and flavor in every dish. If you are like me I use herbs in most of my everyday cooking. As much as I love to use fresh herbs it can get pretty messy in the kitchen. I recently discovered a new and unique way to incorporate herbs to my recipes mess free. Dorot is fresh and frozen portion controlled garlic and herbs. How amazing is that?

I cooked up a pasta full of flavor, color, and creaminess. My sister made a very similar pasta not too long ago. I knew I had to give it a try with my own little twist, basil. Yum!

My mom's rose bushes bloomed not too long ago and it's officially Spring. Hello Spring! There are so many activities that I want to do with my little family this season. Farmers markets are opening up, it's strawberry season, the weather is amazing, and doing activities outdoors is what makes me happy. I recently discovered a farm about 25 minutes from our house where we can go strawberry picking. I am so excited because we have never done this before. We also have a Tulip field not too far. I am hoping we can go there as well. So much to do, lets hope we can get it all done. What's on your bucket list? Happy first day of Spring!! xo

Getting back on track after the holidays is difficult. My body was used to me feeding it junk. My mindset for the new year was to get back to basics and begin eating clean again. Not only for me but my family as well. Can I just say it took me a while to find the drive and motivation to begin. So I began planning my meals, looking up recipes, and slowly making it a habit to eat clean. It can be challenging especially when you are a mom on-the-go. My meals are always simple and made quickly. I spend the most time cooking dinner, but other than that I need something fast, good, and healthy. I am sharing what I ate today including a quick and delicious snack any mom can appreciate. Evan goes crazy for LALA Yogurt Smoothies that we purchased at H-E-B.

Happy Monday! So much has been going on in my life and it's just been so hard to sit down, take a break, and write it all down. So please excuse this post if it's all over the place. Evan started playing soccer and he has practice twice a week and his games are on Saturdays. I have never found a sport so entertaining as watching four year old boys running around and fighting for a ball. Make sure to check out my insta stories. I always record!😂

This rug is everything, but man it sheds!! I know a lot of people have it, but it's just too cute not to include in my home. I have read to vacuum as frequently as possible until shedding stops. If you have any other suggestions let me know. Also if you have it what room do you have it in? I originally got it for Evan's room, but now I'm debating whether it should go in my room or living room. So many decision. I just purchased this rug but I won't receive until mid March. Slowly but surely my home will begin to feel like mine.
